Translating a local cafe experience into a digital setting

Table filled with assorted café meals, drinks and shared platters.

Second Home Cafe is a local hospitality business serving a mix of regular customers and new visitors discovering the brand for the first time. The website needed to present the cafe in a way that feels considered and authentic, helping people understand what the cafe offers, where it is located and how to plan a visit. Our work focused on creating an online presence that feels organised, approachable and aligned with the way the business operates day to day.

Website designed for discovery, menu exploration and confident visit intent

The website was structured around how people actually choose a cafe. Menus, locations, opening hours and offering highlights are presented in a clear and intuitive flow so users can move from browsing to decision without friction. Content hierarchy supports intent behaviour, while performance and mobile responsiveness create a smoother on-the-go experience that matches real-world use.

Internet presence refined to feel familiar, grounded and confidently recognisable

The identity was strengthened to balance warmth with structure, so the brand feels welcoming while still dependable and consistent across locations. Typography, colour and visual language were streamlined to improve recognition across signage, packaging, menus and digital presence, reinforcing trust and familiarity for both new and returning guests.

Menus, touchpoints and everyday essentials improved for ease of use

Menus and key customer-facing elements were reorganised for readability and decision comfort. Hierarchy and spacing support quicker scanning, while key items and dietary cues are easier to interpret in the venue and online. Business essentials and listings were streamlined to remove friction across practical interactions such as discovery, contact and information lookup.
